two

today was a ridiculously long day.  we left at 9:00 this morning and finally arrived back at the hotel at 8:00 tonight.  sarahjoy did great - she slept a lot of the way and was happy to sit in our laps (and eat) the rest of the time.  huge, huge gift from God.

so i will update with pics and details tomorrow but tonight i will leave you with two very important things...

WAR EAGLE!!!!!!!

and http://nextstepoffaith.com/#/pivotal-circumstances/adoption to see our first day with SarahJoy (we can't upload to youtube or vimeo thanks to china's censorship issues...)

SarahJoy is beautiful and you can see her happiness! The video made me cry (thanks for that). For some reason, it has seemed to me that this particular adoption has taken FOREVER - maybe it's because we talked so long about it before you all actually plunged in...I don't know. I do know that it is a true blessing to see my babies and my families finally united. It's especially thrilling to have "repeat" customers - haha. I'm wondering now, of those of you who have come back for child #2 in the 3.5 years I have worked with AHH, how many are going to return yet AGAIN!!!!! Blessings :-)

Hey Ashleigh and Eric,
I've been thinking about you all this week. I forgot to check your blog until this evening. I'm so happy for you ! ! ! AND SJ. She is really cute ! ! ! Life as she knew it wil never be the same again. She is becoming a part of an awesome family. She realize that someday.
Reading your posts reminded me our our adoption process in Ukraine. Different but similar if you know what I mean. I hope the remainder of the trip/process goes as well as it has so far.

Beautiful! The video is amazing.
Thanks for posting it.
It's a real hit at the Jacques house as it's been played about a dozen times today. SJ is even cute than we could have imagined. We can't wait for you to come home.
Blessings!

Eric and Ashleigh! Yay! Our family just watched your video and we are so excited for you and for SarahJoy. And Ashleigh, it may make you feel better to know that Grace Harshaw had a 6-12 month winter coat when she was 4! No lie! Can't wait to meet her.... :) blessings and prayers from the Sanders clan

Thrilled for you! She is precious beyond words.

Praying that the rest of your time will go well, that she'll be a trooper on the flight home, and that you all will bond well in the weeks and months ahead.

And that SJ will grow and get some more meat on those bones. :)

Congratulations!
